Requirements used in Japan
The institution evaluates the prior qualification and programme preparation. Depending on the route, applicants may need Japanese or English evidence, the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students, interviews, portfolios or institution-specific tests.
Language evidence
English-taught and local-language programmes may set different language requirements. Use the individual programme record and confirm accepted tests with the institution.
Recognition and certification
Document recognition, translation and legalisation depend on where the qualification was issued. Follow the institution's checklist and the competent authority named by Study in Japan / JASSO.
